# 287 : For my last post for 2011 … I loved the simplicity of this gorgeous Lindsay Phillips Micco purple knit scarf with cute purple satin bow. Have a safe and happy 2012 … see you in the new year.

# 286 : Now there’s a scarf. Definitely not for the southern hemisphere at this time of year but nevertheless … a gorgeous, huge, chunky, warm, (looks hand knitted) wrap yourself up in scarf. And it looks SO GOOD teamed with these black skinny pants and an oversized handknit jumper. Image courtesy of favim.com
# 285 : What a great idea for someone special : a personalised scarf designed and hand painted especially for them. Created by Santa Fe Silk Artist Justine Wheeler via Etsy, each scarf is made to order, unique and made from high quality 100% silk charmeuse, painted with the finest silk paints and dyes – USD 45.00 – too late for Christmas … but who needs a special occasion.
# 284 : This gorgeous little frilly fun scarf is named Alda and you can knit it yourself if you are so inclined … which I think I may just be when the weather starts to cool. Just a bit of frippery to put around your neck. The pattern is by Harpa Jonsdottir and is available on Knitty.com. Lovely!!
# 283 :The National Wool Museum (Australia) has just announced the 2012 scarf festival … which starts 15 June and goes right through to September next year. Entries open on 27 February and close 4 May. Scarves can be created in any medium …. you are not limited to traditional scarf making methods … how exciting!!!! The theme for 2012 is “The Journey”. Need to put on my creative thinking cap and see what I can conjure up but I already have a couple of ideas bubbling away … execution … there’s another matter altogether. I am looking forward to a wonderful exhibition again this year … here is the image of my little Pubknitters Group entry from 2011 (just in case you missed it first time around!!).
