# 336 : Every now and then you find a scarf somewhere that surprises you … like this floral lariat.  Made using a wet felting technique by nurlu on Etsy USD 60.00.  You would never need to buy flowers again.  Just pop this in a vase for storage when you are not wearing it.

# 211 : I may have mentioned once or twice on this blog that freeform knitting/crochet is my big thing … and so I was really happy to find a gorgeous example of a freeform scarf on ETSY to bring to you.   This piece, in shades of white/ivory, pink and beige , is by Levintovich and is USD 98.00.  As with every freeform piece, it’s not knitted to a pattern and is unique.

# 170 : I have been a very keen freeform knitter/crocheter for a number of years now … and if you are not familiar with the freeform concept : according to Wikipedia freeform knitting/crochet  is a seemingly random combination of crochet, knitting and possibly other fibre arts to make a piece that is not constrained by patterns, colours, stitches or other limitations.  An excellent description.  And so when I stumbled upon this gorgeous “freeform” scarf while searching the internet … it made my heart sing.  It’s made by Carla Barrett from Feathered Fibres.  Hop across to her blog  for a tutorial in making your own freeform scarf – this particular piece is crochet only.  Enjoy!!
